Additional Sign-Making Processes
Mohawk Sign Systems® has five sign-making processes, all of which can be used to complement interior and exterior architectural design applications. In addition to our featured Series 200A: Sand-Carved®, we also offer the following processes:
Series 100: Engraved Process
The Series 100 is an engraved process that produces a permanent, visible, and sharp letter or image. Three different materials can be used with this process: ES Plastic, Colored Acrylic (thermoplastic), Metals: aluminum, clear anodized, bronze or black duranodic, and brass. |
Series 300: Sub-Surface Process
The Series 300 is a sub-surface process. Sub-surface signage uses 1/8" or 1/16" clear, non-glare, or matte acrylic in which a photographic image is transferred to the second surface. A background color is then applied for contrast. A 1/16" acrylic backer plate may be applied to protect the photographic image. |
Series 200: Dimensional Letters
The Series 200 utilizes 1/8" or 1/32" thick dimensional letters in Black or White that are chemically welded to one of the following materials: colored acrylic, clear, non-glare, or matte acrylic, back-painted non-glare acrylic. |
Series 400: Vinyl Letters
The Series 400 vinyl letters are cut from 3.5 mil pressure-sensitive material, prespaced and prealigned on release paper for easy application to any smooth, non-porous surface. Vinyl letters and decals can be applied to any of these background materials: ES plastic, colored acrylic, clear, non-glare, or matte acrylic, metals, back-painted non-glare acrylic. |
